What a trip! Thursday, January 29th at 6 pm, join us at the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre as Author-Adventurer Dan Grec takes us on a journey with the tale of his cross-hemisphere adventure.
Not happy sitting at a desk, Dan decided to quit his job, buy a small Jeep, and drive 64,000 kms solo from Alaska to Argentina on the world’s longest highway, the Pan-American. Starting with his old tent and sleeping bag, a cook stove, and a few books and maps, Dan spoke no Spanish and had only $10,000 in the bank. He really had no idea the adventure would take two years and cover everything from roasting marshmallows on lava to summiting a 20,000 ft. active volcano on the Equator.
