Are Lessons Available?

Want to learn how to Nordic ski — or dial in your technique? Black Jack’s got you covered. Their adult beginner lessons (classic and skate!) are back by popular demand, led by a certified CANSI instructor, and include trail access plus a 5‑punch pass to come back and practice on your own.

Prefer a more personalized approach? You can also book private or small‑group sessions with experienced coaches to fine‑tune your skills, whether you’re totally new or looking to level up your glide. It’s a welcoming, low-pressure way to get into cross‑country skiing — and a great excuse to get outside, move your body, and explore the winter trails at your own pace.

When Do You Open/Close for the Season?

Black Jack typically opens in late November or early December, depending on snow conditions, and the trails stay groomed through March or early April.

The trailhead kiosk is generally open daily from morning until late afternoon, with night skiing on the 2.5 km lit loop available on select evenings.
