SUMMARY:Shawn Hook - Homecoming
DESCRIPTION:JUNO Award Nominee\, Shawn Hook\, will headline a special homecoming show during the Silver City Days celebrations on Sat. May 9 at 7 pm. \n“We are excited to welcome back to The Bailey Stage local artist\, and internationally known performer\, Shawn Hook with his Band to headline Silver City Days\,” said Amelia Ewart\, Executive and Artistic Director of the Trail & District Arts Council. \nOne of the most successful Canadian artists of the past few years\, Shawn has crafted a name for himself on the world stage. His global audience extends to the hundreds of millions\, and he has shared the stage with international superstars The Weeknd\, Shawn Mendes\, The Chainsmokers\, Camila Cabello and more. \nAs a renowned pianist and adept songwriter\, Shawn Hook writes from the heart\, with songs that are a product of soul-searching and an unwavering desire to spread hope in our uncertain world. Born Shawn Hlookoff in the Kootenays\, British Columbia\, he started college as a Geological Engineering major before committing full-time to music. Growing up in the Kootenays shaped so much of who I am\, and getting to perform where it all started means the world to me.” \nShawn’s show is presented by Trail & District Arts Council and the City of Trail ’s Silver City Days with support from ATCO Wood Products\, Nelson & Ft. Sheppard Railway Co.\, Sutco Transportation Specialists\, and Skemxist Solutions. \nThe performance will be over in time to watch the Silver City Days fireworks. \nTickets are $50 and are available online at purchase.trail-arts.com\, by phone at 250-368-9669\, and in person at the Bailey Box Office at 1501 Cedar Ave.\, Trail.
